In fact, if you are not using RSS feeds and Myrsscreator, you are leaving customers and money for your competitors to scoop up for their own gain.HERE IS MORE ON THE RSS TOOLS:RSS of course sounds really good. Before RSS writing tools, in order to create your own RSS feed, you needed to know the hard-nut cumbersome XML code. Previously only the big companies like Yahoo, CNN etc were able use RSS because they could hire techies to do this for them. Thankfully, there are a number of affordable RSS tools that you coulde use to create your RSS feed. Most I have seen are software like Tristana RSS Writer:($25) , Simple software that is easy to use to create RSS feeds and FeedForAll: ($52.37) ( looks like a nice suite of software. Never used it myself.) These RSS tools will just create RSS feeds and thats it.But nothing really stands out like MyRSSCreator program. Apart from creating the RSS code and RSS feed URL, this RSS tool goes the extra mile of helping you publish the RSS feed, host everything for you, provide all the graphics, ping your websites feed to update the search engines automatically everytime you update. Here are the features from their website:

Automatically publish your RSS 2.0 feed in under 10 minutes
Automatically submit your RSS feed to the top 10 engines & directories such as Yahoo, MSN, Syndic8, Feedster and more.
Automatically create all of your subscription buttons and have those buttons in an automatically created feed index page
Show the full content of your feed to users that did not have a feed reader with the click of a button
Accurately track your feed usage. All way down to how many clicks
Deliver audio, video, PDF files or virtually any document in your feed. (for podcasting)
Automatically ping the major search engines to have them update your feed instantly any time you add a news item
Promote your brand with your logo image in your feed
Reach an entire new market & have great visibility quickly
Deliver your messages directly to users desktop
Generate traffic & have your feed show up in multiple websites
Automatically create your Podcast and have us host your mp3 files

Easily do all of this and more... with no software...in under 10 minutes?Their service is $19.97/month and it is a web based program where one can create an RSS feed by filling a form. No website needed, they host everything for you, no software download, you wont need a feed reader to read your feeds. With the 30-day trial you can use this RSS tool to Create Your First RSS Feed Right Now, FREEAs I mentioned in my post before, RSS can be used to your advantage to increase and get more website traffic. If you are not using it already, maybe you are not too late, but I would strongly advice you to check it out before it is saturated.

RSS promotion: How to get people to subscribe to your RSS Feed.

Q. How Do You Get People To Subscribe To Your RSS Feed?

First and foremost you want to make make sure you are publishing what people want to read. Your content should have purpose that target's your audience. With a business or professional blog you want to avoid publishing information that is only of interest to you. People primarily consume information for two primary reasons:

Education

Entertainment

Step #1: Develop Your Content for RSS

Not matter what the topic, niche or interest we are drawn to the educational or entertainment value of the content we consume. I'm being quite broad here in describing categories that motivate to read online content. But for brevity and simplicity these two broad categories I think work well here. People are drawn in by compelling content within the areas of interest they are already seeking out. Know what your target market wants and write to inform. Focus on being a great resource for your topic and niche. Try exceeding the need to know requirements of your audience and over deliver on what they want to know.

Educate Your Demographic

Your demographic may be a bit behind on the technology curve so you may want to write about the value of RSS with your market. Write a free report for them to download and even offer a video tutorial that shows them how to use RSS after they read about the why of RSS. Making sure that your customers and prospects knows what RSS is and how to use it productively is a
next step in increasing subscribers. An important point to realize is that that there is still a learning curve on blogs and more so on RSS. It's getting easier for more and more people to engage and use these tools but you will do much better to take a lead role in educating those within your reach on the merits using RSS.

I suggest that you go the extra mile to promote your RSS feed on your blog or web site in the same manner you would promote your E-mail list sign-up form. How about a link to a RSS basics page the describes the why and how of RSS. Video tutorials that demonstrate the value of RSS are highly recommended. Skip the technical jargon and use the language of your niche market. You don't want to make them feel like the are working on a Masters Degree in Information Technology as the learn about RSS.

Here's a suggestion:

RSS as Really Simple Syndication is just that...simple content and file sharing. RSS allows you to share a file containing your information with your target customer or prospect using special software so that they can get all your content updates conveniently. Adjust the level of difficultly in explaining RSS up or down based on your market adoption of RSS and then marry RSS with the benefits you are offering to your audience.

Again, it's important to help your people along the learning curve. I'm sure you will generate a lot of goodwill by going the extra step of teaching the benefits of RSS. It will help you get subscribers which will help build your business. One compelling reason to be motivated to take on this task is realizing that your true business valuation is tightly associated and in some
instances synonymous with your business content stream as it is released into the blogosphere and the Internet.

People will read what you say before they get to know what you do or what you fully have to offer. Your value is in the voice of your blog and the information stream you are releasing. That would be your keywords, opinions, ideas, expertise, etc. RSS is a powerful way to raise the profile on your business value by streaming it via RSS. You want to stay motivated to get users on your feed instead of someone else's feed. You want to be the source that is a part of their reading habits. So don't get discouraged just give it some time and have a plan to promote your RSS feed.

Step #2: Develop Your Market for RSS usage

Reach Them ; Teach Them ; Keep Them. Encourage those you come in contact with to use your feed. Help them understand the value of RSS and you will gain (keep) subscribers.

Marketing with RSS

You need to get that feed submitted and listed. Use a tool like RSS Submit and get listed. Check out Robin Good - Top 55 (now Top 100+) for a tops list of directories to submit your RSS feed to as your time allows. Submitting your RSS feed to directories is a traffic tactic. In addition to those are within immediate reach of your message and content, there are also those within the reach of content directories/networks like blog and RSS directories. Your can get additional subscribers and traffic from these directories as people who are more familiar with RSS and use it will pick up your RSS feed and subscribe or syndicate your content.

So your marketing effort should include RSS. The more you use RSS to reach your markets the more opportunities you have to gain subscribers. Marketing with RSS is simply linking your product, service, and information to your target audience using RSS. So think about the ways that you can use RSS to connect with your audience. Do plan to deliver product release updates? customer support and product support information? Event calendar information? What exactly can your your business deliver with RSS? Establishing the answer
this question will help you target the real value of your RSS feed for your audience and help you communicate the real value for them.

One way to increase your RSS subscriptions is to use RSS subscribe now buttons for major directories like MSN and Yahoo on your blog. Because these directories make it easy for people to subscribe to RSS with point and click ease and because they have a large and growing user community adding RSS-based news to their start pages you have an opportunity to easily get additional readers. You should submit your RSS feed to My Yahoo and MSN (open a free account and add your own RSS feed to your news start page) then use these services to create a subscribe now button to put your blog. Subscribe now buttons for these directories is a great way to easily market your RSS feed to your visitors and make it easy for them to subscribe to your content. Promote your subscribe now buttons on your blog right along with your E-mail
newsletter sign up form or any other offering the side margins of your blog. Offer good value in your RSS feed content and let people know that you have an RSS feed.

Step #3: Develop Your Marketing with RSS

Conclusion

To improve subscriptions rates to your RSS feed let's recap the steps.

1. Develop Your Message for RSS

When you publish with your blog, your blog content is your RSS content. Develop and publish content that is on target with your audience and delivers value automatically creates a RSS feed that delivers value. User will subscribe to your RSS feed to keep up with what is happening on your blog. If you want to publish a content stream that is not directly connected to your blog I highly recommend MyRSSCreator program.. It makes RSS creation and publishing point and click simple and you can use your feed to promote any current blog or web site your have as
well.

2. Develop Your Market for RSS

Take the time to help develop and mature your target target market understanding of the value of RSS. Establish the value of RSS for yourself and your business first, then educate your stake holders (customers, prospects, partners, etc.). I'm not saying that you should go out and educate your entire market or become and RSS expert. Just start where you are and lead where you live. Again, you don't have to be and RSS guru and you don't have to teach everyone but you will have to teach help your audience along a bit if they need to catch up with what RSS is all about. Help the people that you are already helping with understanding and using RSS.

3. Develop Your Marketing with RSS

Market with and promote your RSS feed. Decide how RSS will will be used to connect your products, services, and information to your audience and then let them know how to get that value through your RSS feed. Use subscribe now buttons, promote your feed emails, provide a FAQ and videos on your blog or web site and highlight that. Submit to directories that have tons and people that search for RSS content to get news and information streams.

As your RSS feed content gets exposure through your own promotion and marketing efforts and as more people find you in RSS and blog directories through keyword searches you will find your traffic and subscriptions growing. Your will begin to see clicks, links, and subscribers organizing around your content eventually.

*********

Informative post by T.L. It will generate totally new traffic for you and help you increase the power of your existing traffic sources. RSS promotion will get you listed almost immediately, even at directories like Yahoo!, and will get you #1 positions for your most important keywords and phrases. And the best part: it's free and quick; takes less than a day to do.[To get the "Backdoor to Yahoo! secret", click here]

100% Content Delivery

Forget about spam filters that are keeping your content away from your subscribers. RSS promotion gets 100% of your content delivered. This works for direct marketing messages, e-zine publishing, customer support and so on. With RSS promotion you can even easily deliver daily or hourly news to your subscribers, and everything else as well. RSS will help you expand your content delivery to daily content updates, content updates by interest, content updates for different target audiences and so on. Use one RSS feed to deliver your daily news and the other to deliver in-depth articles, and so on... And don't forget about the power of RSS personalization and autoresponder messages, which are already possible.

Discover New Marketing Opportunities

New times bring new marketing opportunities, and RSS is the leader in this area as well.

Use it to increase the sales of your affiliates by providing them with RSS feeds to better promote your products.

Launch your own RSS product feeds and digital catalogues (Amazon started publishing those not long ago) that bring your products directly to your recipient's desktops. Amazon is doing, but not many other people yet. Be among the first and get a lion's share of your target market.

Market through branded RSS aggregators and establish a constant connection with your subscribers. It's just like having a branded e-mail client that your customers and prospects are using every day ... but much cheaper.

Find innovative ways of delivering your ads and direct marketing messages directly to your audiences, making sure they are actually read.

Autoresponders are a great marketing tool, but are becoming ineffective because your prospects just don't want to give you their e-mail addresses. RSS gives you this very same power, but without the fear people have with e-mail.

Use RSS to market to your existing customers, affiliates, business partners and employees/team members.

Publish your own "podcast", a special RSS feed, which carries audio. Perfect for your own audio "radio station" or for getting your voice to your readers, without having to worry about too large e-mail attachments. Podcasting got so big that not only every respected internet marketers is using it, but also huge corporations like GM.

Use RSS to deliver latest posts and topics from your forums directly to your readers, to increase forum popularity and the quantity & quality of conversations.

Get Your Content Published On Other Web Sites

Get your content easily published on other web sites to reach new audiences and use their traffic to increase your own sales, as well as achieve greater recognition as an expert in your field.
Again, it's free and easy, and has the potential of bringing your content to thousands and thousands of new prospects, who are ready to buy now.

Generate New Subscribers More Easily

Internet users are reluctant to subscribe to any more e-mail newsletters, but because RSS is so easy to control they don't have any problems with subscribing to new RSS feeds that match their interests. That means that by having an RSS feed you can raise your visitor-to-subscriber conversion easily. Just imagine how converting more visitors in to subscribers will improve your long-term sales ... every additional subscriber you get means a new potential sales and a long-term relationship that could lead to dozens of sales on the long-term, especially if you convert him in to an affiliate. If however you're not using RSS, these sales could easily be lost.

Don't Worry About Messages From Your Customers Not Reaching You

E-mail messages, yes, even those from your customers and their business enquieries, are often lost due to spam filters. With RSS, no messages from your customers or prospects will ever get lost again. That means that you'll now capture every business enquiery and respond accordingly, turning it in to a real sale.

How do I start my RSS promotion campaign?

Before RSS writing tools, in order to create your own RSS feed, you needed to know the hard-nut cumbersome XML code. These RSS tools will just create RSS feeds and thats it.But nothing really stands out like MyRSSCreator program.

Easily do all of this and more... with no software...in under 10 minutes?

Their service is $19.97/month and it is a web based program where one can create an RSS feed by filling a form. You ask, how did I do that? I used the power of RSS promotion and blogs. RSS marketing and promotion is a very powerful way of gaining a good search engine rank in any keyword that you wish, which translates to . I pretty much called this king of RSS promotion "blogtimization".

I would define "blogtimization" as search engine optimization using blogs. The reason why blogs are really easy to optimize for premium search engine rankings is because most blogging tools come with their own RSS feed, therefore once you create a blog, you can get an RSS feed already and with every post, you can easily perform your RSS promotion in a heartbeat. My previous posts on here described how you can start by getting into the backdoor of Yahoo directory by submitting your RSS feed to your "My Yahoo". The RSS feed will be indexed immediately. Apart from that, the Yahoo spider will crawl your blog within a day or two (mostly hapens in 24hrs time) instead of having to wait for 4-6 weeks following the traditional methods.

RSS promotion has helped me achieve a top placing on Yahoo for some keywords, using blogs. I know a friend who uses RSS promotion to promote his adult business and he rakes in $1000/day (he started doing RSS promotion before we even knew about it 18 months ago). Instead of trusting free blogging tools like blogger, who can delete your account anytime, you can start your own RSS promotion by creating a blog on your own domain/ server.

To create RSS feeds for your site, luckily, you dont have to sweat it out with the cumbersome code. With a few dollars, you could get adequate RSS tools/software that can make RSS promotion a breeze. Here is a collection of recommended software that we have either used before or have had good reviews:

Tristana RSS Writer:($25) , Simple software that is easy to use to create RSS feeds and FeedForAll: ($52.37) ( looks like a nice suite of software. I got many questions from people asking me what and how RSS feeds are created. In my post, I suggested a few affordable RSS tools that one could use to create RSS easily without any tehnical knowledge. But I came across this article that just kinda explains more:

Set Up a Simple Syndication Feed Using RSS
You can set up outbound syndication for your Web site and expose your content to the world in one afternoon using an XML technology called RSS. For anyone who ever wanted to increase audience and traffic while maintaining content and presentation control, RSS is the answer. Find out how to do it, step by step.
by Ladd Angelius

An RSS XML feed is an extremely simple way to let external sites link to content on your Web site. If you're looking for a fast, painless way to do outbound syndication and find a larger audience for your content, RSS is going to be worth your time.

At its most basic, RSS generates a list of links, generated programmatically, to various resources on your site with a description of the content for each link. This XML feed is just a publicly accessible text file and therefore you can easily create your feed to automatically regenerate periodically. This way, new content updates are added to the list without any human effort. With RSS, your news feed can be as dynamic as you like.

And, because it's in XML, other sites can easily consume and display your content feed automatically, thereby driving traffic back to your site. This is a win-win situation for sites that want to increase their traffic while maintaining control of their content.

In this article, you'll learn what you need to create a feed, see a sample feed structure, walk through the code that creates the XML (in this case we've used ColdFusion). I'll also discuss additional steps to take for validating and implementing syndication for your site.
What You NeedTo create the system to generate an RSS feed and make it publicly accessible, you will need three things: a server on the Internet where you can put the feed, a database that has descriptions of your content, and a server-side scripting language with access to your database.

Decide where you will put the file on your Web site. You may want to have multiple feeds in the future, so consider putting it in a directory called "rss." Decide on a filename that you will not change and put it on your Web site in a location that can remain the same for the foreseeable future. Here's an example location and filename:
http://www.myWebSite.com/rss/myWebSite.xml

Decide what content you want to put in the feed. Keep in mind that you will need, at a minimum, two pieces of information for each piece of content you want to syndicate: the title of the content and the URL. For example:

Title: "Choosing the Right Web Services Management Platform"Link: http://www.devx.com/content/id/10549

Optionally, there are additional fields you should include for each piece of content, for example:
Description: When you deploy any application, you are expected to have a plan for management and maintenance of that codebase—that's part of the job. But developers have been so busy learning Web services that management issues have taken a back seat. Use these requirements as a checklist for investigating products that should underlie your company's vital Web services and facilitate their long-term management.

Remember that the author field must contain a valid email address to validate as RSS. The PubDate filed must be properly formatted as a datetime field. For example:
Author: justin.murray@hp.com (Justin Murray)PubDate: Tue, 21 Jan 2003 14:20:36 PST
You can use whatever scripting language you like, anything from Perl to ASP. You must be able to do simple string manipulation, pull data from your database, and set the MIME type of the file being served to the browser.

A Sample RSS FeedOnce you have completed steps 1 and 2 on the previous page, it's time to dynamically build the text file. This file will be formatted as XML and has two distinct sections. The top section contains basic information about your feed, such as the title and the time the file was generated. The bottom section has information on each specific piece of content that you wish to syndicate (an "item").

I'll show an example feed, and then I'll show how to generate and write out the file in ColdFusion. The example feed follows; bold items should be replaced with information for your site.

**SORRY THE CODE COULD NOT BE MADE VISIBLE.

Latest DevX Content

If you want to show an image with your content feed, use the optional image section below:

The next section is where each piece of content is identified and described:

A future where millions of
users are waiting.

etc

You can include as many items as you want. When you're finished, close the channel and rss tags.

(
Article from http://www.devx.com/xml/Article/10790 )

If all these doesnt make sense, or if you dont have time to do the hard coding, I would recommend RSS tools like Tristana RSS Writer:($25) , Simple software that is easy to use to create RSS feeds and FeedForAll: ($52.37) ( looks like a nice suite of software. Never used it myself.) or MyRSSCreator program. RSS promotion at its best, can give you an accelerated advantage in getting listed in the search engines and getting indexed there. Today I will show your a shortcut to the Yahoo directory. If you follow the methods below well, you will be indexed in yahoo in no time. (normally you have to wait for weeks for this to happen). This is really easy part of RSS promotion. All you need is a Yahoo account/email address and an RSS feed to your site, which can be easily created by an RSS tool like the MyRSSCreator program.

If you don't have a Yahoo account, sign up for a email account there.

Next you want to go to " My Yahoo " Its your personal page at Yahoo. You can go there using the Icons at the top of Yahoo.

On "My Yahoo", look at the topo left corner area below the Search bar that is written "Add Content". Click here and it will take you the a page with a text bar. On the right side of the text bar, click on "Add RSS feed". Cut and paste your RSS feed URL and click to add it to your Yahoo.

Believe it or not but it will let you add your sites feed to Your yahoo. If you went the normal route it would take 6 weeks to 3 months to get your site feed url to show up in a Yahoo search if even then. But if you follow my directions and add it to your yahoo it will show up in 10 days or less. And it will start to show up in yahoo searches for the key words in your posts titles.

If you are having trouble, you can post a comment on this post and I would be ready to help. Once your RSS feed is indexed, it will even start showing up in search results for the relevant keywords. This method is just a start of what you can do with RSS promotion to get increased website traffic.

RSS for more website traffic series -> RSS tool: Review of the MyRSSCreator RSS publishing tool.

Whether you use a blog, podcast or traditional webpage to market your business, RSS feeds are the hottest marketing tool for web marketing today. In fact, if you are not using RSS feeds and Myrsscreator, you are leaving customers and money for your competitors to scoop up for their own gain.

HERE IS MORE ON THE RSS TOOLS:
RSS of course sounds really good.

Never used it myself.) These RSS tools will just create RSS feeds and thats it.

But nothing really stands out like MyRSSCreator program.

Easily do all of this and more... with no software...in under 10 minutes?

Their service is $19.97/month and it is a web based program where one can create an RSS feed by filling a form. No website needed, they host everything for you, no software download, you wont need a feed reader to read your feeds. With the 30-day trial you can use this RSS tool to Create Your First RSS Feed Right Now, FREE

As I mentioned in my post before, RSS can be used to your advantage to increase and get more website traffic. If you are not using it already, maybe you are not too late, but I would strongly advice you to check it out before it is saturated.

RSS promotion for increased targeted website traffic

Staring an online business is gravy, but marketing it is not. Why? Its hard to send targeted website traffic to your business. Most of the website marketing methods around are not new and everybody uses them, including your competitor. The only way to stand out is by doing something that your competitor is not doing.

Using RSS for website traffic promotion is an ingenious way to start. If you dont know what RSS feeds is, please visit http://www.podwagon.com/RSS-XML.html for a detailed information on what it is and http://www.podwagon.com/uses-of-rss.html for information on innovative uses of RSS.

The beauty of RSS promotion for targeted website traffic is that you wont have to wait any longer to be indexed by the search engines. Especially Yahoo: if you have an RSS feed from your site or containing your website links or affiliate links, people can subscribe to it and add it to their "My Yahoo" homepage. That way you site and links are indexed immediately by Yahoo. Also any time you make an update to your site feed (e.g add news or a new product), they are update immediately on Yahoo and in the My Yahoo panels of all your subscribers.

RSS promotion and marketing eliminates the need for email and you wont have to worry about Spam complains anymore or not being able to reach your consumers because of aggressive Spam blockers. In fact Search engines are worried that RSS tools are gonna eliminate the need of Search engines. Read an article about RSS promotion for more website traffic here.

Apart from the fact that you get more website traffic with RSS, you also get an incerase in targeted website traffic because RSS brings the search engine to you. Your RSS subscribers did subscribe to your RSS feed because they are interested in whatever product or service you offer. This means increased targetted traffic.

FOR MORE WEBSITE TRAFFIC, YOUR NEXT STEP IS TO CASH IN ON RSS PROMOTION.
Fortunately, you dont have to know crazy cumbersome codes to get going. There are RSS writing software that can help you publish your own RSS feed. They cost a few bucks and its worth it. Now with these software, creating your RSS Feed is as easy as 1.2.3. See How

All the best in your RSS promotion.

RSS feeds increase Election Web Traffic: CNN shatters website traffic record

RSS feeds were used by CNN during the elections to provide updates on the election results. More...PRESS RELEASE -- CNN.com reported record traffic on Election Day as it posted a new one-day high of more than 372 million page views, besting its one-day record on Sept. 12, 2001, when it recorded approximately 307 million page views. Payne said, "Today, we are actually on pace to surpass yesterday's record-breaking numbers as people come to work and realize they can stay in touch through us with up-to-the-minute breaking news on the elections." For example, a Real Estate salesman could create an RSS feed that updates it’s subscribers on new home listings; an airline could have an RSS of flight deals and special offers etc. Even Gmail has an RSS feed: https://gmail.google.com/gmail/feed/atom that notifies you of new mail (The link will prompt you for your Gmail username and password.)
Whatever business you are in, chances are that there is a way you can utilize RSS to your advantage. With RSS, you can distribute any kind of information (text, PDF, PowerPoint, audio as in podcasts, video, images).
Businesses are seizing this opportunity to distribute just about any kind of information. The beauty of it is that you present updated information to directly to your customer that he would have gone to the search engines to get. This kind of deletes the need for using search engines and search engines are not happy about it because if people don’t go to the search engines the search engines will be loosing business. Google will allow you to subscribe to news feeds from Google News but it is against their terms to publish the news feeds on a website because Google wants people to go to Google and search for the news themselves.
It is easy for customers to subscribe to RSS feeds. All they need is an RSS reader or aggregator (whatever you may want to call it). Feed readers are constantly evolving from the traditional ones that were designed for text based RSS. As users find outside-the-box uses for RSS, developers of RSS readers are burning the midnight oil to release new versions that support other formats businesses are eager to use.
You can start creating RSS news feeds by using MyRSSCreator program. This is a web based program where one can create an RSS feed in minutes by filling a form. You don’t need any website or server space to host your content because they host everything for you, no software download, you wont need a feed reader to read your feeds as they have a web-based feed reader too. They will even publish the feed for you, provide all the graphics etc. They have pretty extensive features and support to create and publish an RSS feed. It costs $19.97/month but they offer a 30 Day Free trial.

Other uses of RSS:
Stock updates
Job openings.
Latest cinema listings
Auction item bargains: RSSauction.com lets you specify the type of product, its description and even the price range in their customised Ebay feeds.
Weather reports: Weather Underground has the weather of every city and town in the world. And each of them now has an RSS feed. Alternatively, there is RSSweather.com.
Schools, Colleges: Can use RSS to relay assignments, homework, research findings, school cancellations etc.
Find out what people say about you: Companies like technorati.com offer a service where type in a search term such as your name and or your company name or product name and they will return the newest indexed references to you in a customized RSS feed.
News from multiple sources:. The new RSSmix.com lets you combine all the news source RSS feeds into

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rsstraffic.blogspot.com/2005/05/uses-of-rss-apart-from-boosting.html' title='Uses of RSS. Previously I just thought RSS was something out of my league and every website I tried to read to understand it, I didnt just get it (maybe am just some slow learner).

After a few weeks, I have come to know A LOT about RSS feeds. I got a lot of "insider" info how people are utilizing RSS marketing and promotion to get the search engines to crawl them in no time (of course resulting in increased targetted website traffic). The option would be to wait for weeks before the search engines do their "Dance" to index new sites. And that did not even guarantee more website traffic results. Using RSS promotion can actually give you a way better advantage over your competition. You can derive the advantages of having your website exposed by the fact that your RSS feeds are picked up by various aggregators on the web and delivered to feed subscribers, who actually subscribed to receive that kind of information in your feed. This is clearly using RSS for profit, because these are a targetted people who will be interested in whatever your feed has to offer. Also it is RSS feeds for website traffic promotion (and therefore RSS feeds for profit) because when you update your feeds, instead of waiting for the search engine spiders to come (in week's time), it is actually the search engines that will look for you and index your website immediately. I actually heard that there are services on the net that will actually "ping" your feed and alert the search engines that you have updated your feeds, so that every time you update, the spiders will index it way faster.

Also its easy to understand why search engines are worried about RSS feeds and RSS promotion, apart from people being able to get backdoors to SE directories, RSS feeds will eliminate the need to search and check your email because once you are subscribed to the RSS feeds that you are interested in, you will constantly get information directly aggregated by your RSS reader. You wont need to go the search engines to search. Therefore resulting in less traffic to the search engines, which means SE's are missing out on some "Pay-per-click money" Click here to read this interesting article The Search engine secret that levels the playing field for everyone.

I am so enthused by the many application of RSS in promoting increased targetted website traffic, not to mention its applications in podcasting, weather updates its possible application is schools to update students on homework etc, latest stock quotes delivery.... etc.

Staring out in RSS promotion and marketing is as easy with some RSS tools like MyRSS Creator in the market. Instead of spending your next two months trying to learn the nitty gritty of RSS, these guys have broken it all down to just filling forms wioth appropriate details and you will be done. I copied the following from their website on some of the services they provide for a $19.97 monthly charge:

Easily do all of this and more... with no software...in under 10 minutes?

Website traffic is the greatest challenge in online business, and once you have it, everything should be bread and butter. I think RSS for increased targetted website traffic is going to gain a lot of popularity and in a few years, if you are not using it, you will probably not be able to rank good in the search engines.
If you havent yet, consider joining the RSSwagon before it is full with your competotirs on board. By the time they join the RSS wagon, you will have seized a considerable online presence.

Next time we will still continue with stories on using RSS for profit and RSS for web traffic.
